It’s only fair to be up front with full disclosure: This is my all-time favorite bridal session because the subject is my all-time favorite bride — my wife. Meagan is, of course, stunning and needs no further introduction.
We’ve tried several times to make this session happen but due to our busy schedules and the amount of time it takes to get hair and makeup done, it was the better part of two years by the time we got around to it last weekend. By the time we started shooting, daylight was already in short supply, so the session wasn’t very long. It doesn’t really matter anyway, the session could have consisted of a single image and it would’ve still been my favorite.

My personal favorite:

Okay folks, you’ve already seen it on TheKnot.com and I’m here to announce — it’s true. We won a 2012 Best-Of Award!
THANK YOU to all of our fabulous clients who gave us his honor. We are blessed.

Beautiful lady, beautiful dress.

Thank you, Emily.
Wow. wow. wow. These two make such a beautiful couple, I had to share this today.

Yep. Little moments just like this make my day. Every time.
I was just culling through some photos to build the DVD cover for Sandra & Andy when I found this “in-between” moment. They looked so happy, I thought I should share it with you.

Here’s a beautiful moment from last Friday with Haley and Garrett.

The deadline is fast approaching! Calling all brides, moms, friends and all former clients::

Update // Here’s one more I just sent for print. Can’t wait to see it live and in person!

Here are a quick few from this weekend’s engagement session in The Woodlands with Sandra & Andy. Beautiful couple.

Come join us this Sunday at Oak Tree Manor!

So, here we are – a good month after the blog and website update – and this is my first true post. Why, you ask? Well, I got married, that’s why! More photos and stories on that later but for now, I’d like you to meet Megan & her fiancé, Dick. They are getting married in Pittsburgh in the fall but wanted to hire a local photographer for their engagements. Working with them was a true pleasure, they were naturals! Here are a few of my favs from our Woodlands, Tx engagement shoot:
A huge thanks goes out to the management of Avia Hotel in The Woodlands for their hospitality!
enjoy :)

Hello world, meet Melissa & Brandon. These two fine folks spent a hot afternoon with me putting on their best faces for each other. They had no trouble getting used to the camera, as they were too in love to care about what their photographer was doing. Their wedding is coming up soon in College Station, we wish them the best! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do.

Last Friday, the Jones family invited me out for some family portraits in The Woodlands. The weather was hot but not overwhelming, so the kids were still lively. We ended up with quite a few keepers but this series especially made me laugh and thought you might like to have a chuckle too.

Rochelle is a recent acquaintance of mine. You’ll have to ask her how we met but I can certainly tell you it was rather unconventional! She invited me out with her to the wonderful Chateau Polonez for her bridal portraits. She was a treat to work with – easy breezy, like a Cover Girl. She and her crew really helped me rock out this session! Can’t wait for wedding day!

That’s right folks, we’re back at it again with some fun engagement photos in The Woodlands, Tx. This time we spent some time with Ashton & Eric, a super sweet couple from the Far Northern reaches of the earth…er…Conroe. They’ll be getting married in January, we’re so excited to work with them on the big day! Huge thanks to the fantastic folks at Berripop in The Woodlands for some delectable treats and the nifty neon green background.
I would also be remiss not to mention that Ashton’s sister-in-law, Sarah Ainsworth is a stellar photographer, you should check out her work too!
Anyway, here goes! Enjoy :)

These two were hands down one of the most fun couples to photograph! I’m really excited to work with Samantha Darr of Soireé Bliss on their big day!
Anyone who knows Roman would probably not be surprised to learn that he kept this shoot interesting with his crazy antics! Downtown Houston is always a great place for engagement photography. There’s no limit to what you might find …. lurking around the corners…aaah!
I loved this shoot and I hope you do too…
enjoy :)

I took a lesson from Joe Cogliandro for the following 3 shots. They turned out great, thanks, Joe!

Nothing like a quick game of fake hoops in the middle of a concrete bowl to top off the morning.

I absolutely loved hanging out with these two on their big day! Not only did Rochelle feed me pizza all day, I had the pleasure of working with her planner, Cheri Wexler of Something Planned and the fabulous team at Chateau Polonez. It was a real treat and I can’t wait to work with them again!
You might notice that Tom & Rochelle’s families have a bit of a rivalry issue…it made for some interesting moments…
Their wedding was beautiful, thanks guys, for letting me be there!
Enjoy

Brooke is a beautiful, classy bride who gave me nothing less than her smiling face and gorgeous dress to work with. She made my job oh-so-easy! Brooke came in from the blistering frozen tundras of Minnesota to join us on one of the coldest days this winter here in Texas. For her, it was still just a cool morning in comparison. Here are some of my favorites from our session at Carlton Woods, one of the premier Houston area venues. (If you’re looking for a beautiful ceremony or reception grounds in The Woodlands area, be sure to get in touch with Dawn.)
As always, enjoy :)

I’m so stoked about working with Angela and Rob next month on their wedding day. They’re getting married at Ashton Gardens and having their reception right there in the background, at the Marriott Waterway in The Woodlands. Here are a few from our recent “e sesh”, stay tuned for the rest in April….

Amanda & Jason’s wedding is the first of two amazing back-to-back weddings in June. So, stay tuned for more…
This couple was an absolute breeze to work with and make such happy images. I just have to share the first few of them with you.
Enjoy

Some of you will remember this crazy couple from their downtown engagement session, which hit the blog last fall. Yep, it’s been that long! I’ve been fortunate enough to work with this couple for the better part of a year now and I have to say, it’s truly been a pleasure. Lindie & Roman held their Jewish-Catholic fusion wedding at one of my favorite venues in Houston — The Petroleum Club.
Roman is a numbers man, he works as a CPA for one of the big three… or two… or.. however many of those monster accounting firms are left. Anyway, he’s brilliant. Lindie, being a successful marketing genius herself, brought a classy and creative edge to their wedding plans. She also brought peacock feathers — A LOT of peacock feathers. But I’m good with that, I happen to love peacock feathers.
This was also my first time to work with Samantha Darr of Soirée Bliss wedding & event production. She was ah-mazing.
This wedding was so beautiful, it’s certain to make a place on the main site permanently, very soon.
Enjoy!

A huge thanks to the talented Mr. Matthew McMichael for doing a fabulous job shooting with me!
